City Hall Meetings Soon to Be Live Streamed, Digitally Archived

Middletown common council, board of education and other government meetings could be accessed online from in a digital format, which improves quality and user experience.

By the fall, Middletown's government and education meetings will be easily accessed online courtesy of a technology upgrade mostly financed by a state grant, according to an article in the Hartford Courant.

The city recently switched to a digital system in council chambers that improves the video and audio quality of meetings now viewable only on Comcast local access television channels, the Courant reports. In August, the city received a grant for $83,000 from the state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.
