Unclothed Homeless Woman Found With Used Needle: Cops

Middletown Police announce the following arrests and incidents.

Middletown Police report the following arrests:

INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER — On Sept. 6, Michelle Posada, 30, of Traverse Square was arrested.

THREE COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Sept. 6 at 11:04 p.m., Mark Vereen, 44, of Freestone Avenue, Portland, was processed on outstanding warrants.

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL — On Sept. 6 at 12:16 p.m., Judith R. Trunik, 47, of Pearl Street called 911 saying she was ill. She was moaning but would not open the door so the fire department forced entry. She clutched her stomach, saying she was in incredible pain. Officers found a glass crack pipe and metal spoon with burnt residue. She was sent to Middlesex Hospital.

NARCOTICS NOT KEPT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER — On Sept. 6 at 11:12 a.m., Ryan M. Gurga, 19, of Robin Hill Road, Meriden, was driving on Main Street as officers smelled marijuana coming from the car. He admitted to smoking. Police found a pill bottle with 14 different pills inside. He said he had been stopped the day before by Wallingford Police, who told him to separate the pills and put them in their proper bottles.

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE, NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA NEAR SCHOOL — On Sept. 5 at 1:11 p.m., Rachel F. Larkin, 29, of no fixed address was found on Green Street taking off her clothes in public. Police found her squatted down in the grass with only black underwear and bra on. She said she had to urinate and took off her clothes to change. A used hypodermic needle was protruding from her bra.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, POSSESSION LESS THAN HALF-OUNCE MARIJUANA — On Sept. 5 at 11:09 a.m., Sidney Sumler, 41, of Pearl Lake Road, Waterbury, was driving on Washington Street with an expired plate; police found marijuana on his lap. He turned over a baggie of marijuana, 1.1 grams.

FAILURE TO WEAR SEATBELT, IMPROPER USE MARKER PLATE, INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, AND IN VIOLATION OF LICENSE CLASSIFICATION — On Sept. 5, Salvatore J. Derosier, 26, of High Street was driving on Prospect Street and did not stop at the stop sign.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Sept. 5, Salvatore G. Fazzino, 62, of Main Street was driving on Grand Street with no front plate.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Sept. 5, Damon Dombroski, 35, of Robin Court was driving on Higby Road and failed to stop at a stop sign.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN REGISTRATION SUSPENDED — On Sept. 4 at 6 p.m., Terry Rawls, 43, of Liberty Street was driving on East Main Street. A check revealed the insurance had not been paid and he said his girlfriend handles the insurance bills.

OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE SUSPENDED — On Aug. 31, Jennifer M. Kordys, 25, of Redberry Lane, Portland, was driving on Spring Street without wearing a seatbelt.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Aug. 31, Robert A. Maynard, 38, of Pleasant Street, Meriden, was driving on Main Street without wearing a seatbelt.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE — On Aug. 31, Joseph M. Longtin, 49, of Meetinghouse Lane was driving on Main Street with expired registration stickers on the front windshield.

NON-STUDENT POSSESSING DRUGS NEAR SCHOOL, FAILURE TO DISPLAY PLATES, POSSESSION NARCOTICS — On Aug. 30 at 8:41 p.m., Rashaun Watson, 22, of Mile Lane was driving on Hartford Lane with an illegal plastic insert on the license plate. He questioned if the officer was really police. He said, “all kinds of people have cars like that,” pointed to the blue Crown Victoria police car with lights activated. On the drivers’ side floor, police found a baggie with marijuana inside, .6 grams. He said the search was illegal and “just give me my fine and I’ll be on my way.” A prescription bottle with Vicodin was found with several pills missing and he said he could not remember when he took them but had recently. He asked, “Is there any way we can overlook this?”

FIFTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Aug. 29 at 5:30 p.m., Marco Gonzalez, 41, of Hillside Avenue was at CVS on East Main Street and was observed by a loss prevention officer take three items and conceal them in his waistband, totaling $160. His record showed 27 arrests.

INSURANCE FAILS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN REGISTRATION SUSPENDED — On Aug. 25 at 2:27 p.m., Darnell B. Hart, 36, of Summerhill Road was driving on Main Street. He said he had just gotten out of work and was headed to his next job.
