PD: Woman Woke Boyfriend Who Overslept by 'Punching' His Privates

Middletown Police say the 31-year-old told officers she simply tapped her live-in boyfriend after his alarm clock failed to awaken him.

A 31-year-old city woman is facing a breach of peace charge after her live-in boyfriend told police she punched him in the genitals to wake him up as he slept through the sound of his alarm clock, according to a report.

On March 28 at 9:05 a.m., Middletown police were called to a home on Town Place by a man who said his live-in girlfriend punched him in his privates to awaken him, after he failed to hear his alarm clock ringing. Laura S. Mucci, 31, of Town Place told officers she merely tapped her boyfriend of a year and a half with an open hand.

The report says the two did not argue before or after the incident and the victim was not injured.
