Man Charged With Threatening to Poison Chatfield Hollow Water

A Madison man has been arrested and charged with threatening to poison the water at Chatfield Hollow, according to a state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection official.
According to a report in The Hartford Courant: "The park and its swimming area are closed until further notice, said department spokesman Dwayne Gardner. The DEEP Emergency Response Unit was at the park Tuesday night testing the water, he said. They expect to have results on Wednesday. 'We need to take the threat seriously,' Gardner said.
