Historic Blizzard Buries Middletown

There is easily 30 inches of snow out there. The blizzard walloped Middletown and the rest of the state, and if you're like us, you're not going nowhere — we can't FIND our car let alone a shovel!

Middletown made it into CNN's iReport!

And Alexa McClain's "Giant Snow Bug" photograph in Middletown was published on the Weather Channel's iWitness!

As of 9:30 a.m., 115 Middletown Connecticut Light & Power customers were without power. Along the shoreline, it's much worse — up to 80 percent without electricity. See totals here.

If you can get out and are hankering for a hot cup of joe, Klekolo World Coffee is about the only place open this morning.

We'd surely be out there photographing the stunning scenes around the city — but we can't get out our door! That's why we need your help.
