Unauthorized Cars Parked in Metro Square Will be Towed

Middletown Police have received several complaints from people who patronize other businesses while parking in the lot and return to find their vehicles towed.

In an effort to cut down on abuse of the parking spots in Middletown's Metro Square plaza, police have issued a warning to those who park in the lot and visit businesses elsewhere in the city.

Metro Square, at 200 Main St., the home of businesses like Metro Movies 12, Subway, Puerto Vallarta, China King and Metro Spirits, offers ample parking for customers.

Parking at this location is specifically for customers and employees of the businesses located within Metro Square, according to Middletown Police, which have received several complaints from people who patronize other businesses while parking in the lot and return to find their vehicles towed.

Metro Square is a privately owned business run by SCG Commercial Real Estate, according to Middletown Police. They are well within their rights to monitor and tow vehicles from their parking lot, police say.
