I have worked for Middlesex United Way for almost 5 years as Senior Director for Community Resources.  I oversee the distribution of our grant awards to our local nonprofit funding partners and work with several teams of local volunteers to evaluate our partners' work in meeting the various needs in our community.

While I do enjoy my job and the important role we have in supporting the nonprofit sector, what I enjoy most is the opportunity to work with so many great people from throughout Middlesex County who work to improve the community in some way.

It is reassuring to know that there are so many positive things happening in our community, even during these very challenging times that seem to dominate the headlines and our lives.  I welcome this opportunity to share my journey, sharing all the good that is happening in Middlesex County!

Prior to coming to Middlesex United Way I worked in the nonprofit sector for about 22 years.  I worked in residential treatment centers for troubled youth, in alternative to incarceration centers for both adults and youthful offenders, and in neighborhood community centers providing basic needs and other social supports to families and youth.

I received my undergraduate degree from UCONN (OK, GO HUSKIES!) and an MBA and MA from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven.  As a adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College I also have the opportunity to share the knowledge, experience and insight I've gained throughout my career with those who will one day enter the Human Services field and eventually take over for those of us who one day will (or hope to) retire.
