Connecticut River Watershed Council
27 Washington St, Middletown, CT 06457
Connecticut River Watershed Council is a private, not-for-profit environmental watchdog that advocates for theMore protection of the entire four-state 11,000-square-mile Connecticut River watershed (including the river's tributaries, lakes, plants, fish, insects and other animals). Based in Greenfield, Mass., the council works to restore migratory fisheries, guide development, fight pollution and educate policymakers and the public about the river. It also works to promote the enjoyment of the watershed's natural resources and recreational opportunities. The CRWC is represented in the field in the four watershed states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut by three river stewards, one of whom is based in Middletown.
