State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families

The Middletown office of the Department of Children and Families is one of 14 offices throughout Connecticut. The agency specializes in child welfare, children's behavioral health, juvenile services and the prevention of child abuse. DCF supports in-home and community-based services through contracts with service providers. In addition, the agency operates five facilities, two of which are in Middletown: Riverview Hospital and the Connecticut Juvenile Training Center. DCF's Middletown office serves Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Madison, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook.
