South Fire District

The South Fire District employs a fire chief, a fire marshall, a deputy fire marshal, five lieutenants, 24 firefighters and a department secretary. The district is overseen by a five-member citizen commission that typically meets the second Monday of each month. Taxes for fire services in the South District are computed and billed by the district's tax collector's office and are separate from the city.
