My Visit To Wells Beach Maine

This summer I had an opportunity to visit Wells Beach Maine.  My sweet friend Sally allowed me to tag along with her family.  She even gave me my own personal tour of a few places.  Taking me to Kennebunkport Maine, we went to the Wedding Cake House, The Harding Bookstore (old and rare books) and to see President George Bush's home as well as St. Ann's Church where his family has attended.

Sally loves the Wedding Cake House.  I have to admit, it's a pretty interesting one.  Apparently it's the most photographed house in the area! The owner allowed us to walk on his property and take photos.  He was so sweet.  After we left, Sally and I agreed, we should of asked if we could go inside.  Next time maybe.

It was pretty neat to see President Bush's house.  I would of loved to walk up to the gate to say hello but my tour guide didn't think that was a good idea.  It looks beautiful there.  St. Ann's is old but beautiful too.  The stained glass windows are gorgous.  The view is breath taking.   I'm so glad I went.

The Harding Bookstore.  It was awesome to walk around and touch so many OLD books.  There are many books there that I was tempted to buy but I used good self control.  I think everyone ought to check out a good old book every now and then.  There is alot of wisdom in many of those books... and it still applies to today.  So much talent and history should not be forgotten.

Wells Beach Maine, how beautiful it is!  I had a amazing time there.  It is so peaceful.  I loved seeing so many folks walking the beach, the streets and hanging out on their porches.  If you want to relax, Wells Beach is a good place to start.  Besides the beauty of the scenic ocean view, the light houses, the cozy streets and the fun spots, one must not forget the lobster.

I had the yummiest lobster in my life.   It was about 2 pounds. I never had a clue how deliciously filling it could be.  It was so good that even a month later I was still thinking of it and wanting more.  If one goes to Maine, one MUST have lobster - seriously. YUM.

Wells Beach has a old Fire House for sale.  It looks like it needs some love and attention.  It over looks the water.   Inside the station are some very old fire trucks. I had alot of fun just looking in on them and trying to get some decent pics through the window.   The walls inside the fire station has a huge display of trophy's and awards.  I will bet that there is a amazing history related to this Fire Station.

We went to the York Zoo.  Loved the animals.  It was endless fun.  When you view my photos you will see which ones were my favorite of the day.

At the end of our time and heading home, we took a stop at Nubble Light House in York Maine.  Talk about BEAUTIFUL.  I was so excited.  I took photos from every possible angle I could.  I really enjoyed my time in Maine and feel very blessed to have that opportunity to go.  I look forward to going back to Maine because just like the lobster.... Maine leaves me wanting more.
