If you are within the first 100 to get your passport stamped 12 times, you are eligible for a swag bag of goodies available at the Durham Pharmacy.

Paint the Pumpkin Pink
Saturday, 10 a.m. - Come to the Pink Pumpkin Painting Party, hosted by volunteers from Middlesex Memorial Hospital. Starting at 10 a.m., come decorate and paint a pumpkin pink to take home to help spread the word about early detection of breast cancer. Proceeds from pumpkin painting will be donated to the Middlesex Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center. Paint and decorating supplies are provided. Joining the fun is Broadway, morning show host on Country 92.5. Bringing giveaways for visitors, Broadway and his team will be on site from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. to sign autographs, take photos, and play some great music.

MAPS Wheel-a-Thon/Walk-a-Thon
Sunday, 9:30 a.m. - The MAPS wheel-a-thon/walk-a-thon will be like a conventional walk-a-thon, but offers an interesting twist. It will be held at the Xavier High School 1/4 mile track behind the school and both walking and wheelchair bound people are encouraged to cover a 1/4 mile or more, on the track, for the benefit of those afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). There will be a wheelchair available if you would like to experience what being in a chair is like. You may also have the opportunity to push one of our members/patients around. If you would like to help, look for the registration tent behind Xavier High School. Sign up friends and relatives to sponsor a lap, or just take a slow stroll around a beautiful track on Sunday. No donation is too small. For more information, e-mail Lucinda Schulte at lucindaschulte@gmail.com.
