This is a great annual event organized by Middletown Substance Abuse Prevention Council(MSAPC. This is coordinated to encourage people to be mindful of the dangers of drinking and driving while celebrating on New Year’s Eve. This is a youth-led event during which participants will walk down Main Street, wearing self-made white t-shirts with safe-driving messages on them.
Participants will also hand out flyers and red ribbons with the message "MSAPC reminds you NEVER drink and drive" to shoppers and diners, promoting a safe New Year’s holiday, one without drinking and driving. Red ribbons can be tied to your car antenna as a visual reminder. The students feel passionate that this is an extremely effective way to convey how important it is that everyone use good judgment and remain safe this New Year’s Eve. We hope you will join us in promoting this message.
