Fifty people and their four-legged friends joined together at Middlesex Community College in Middletown recently to support the local no-kill shelter, Connecticut Association To Assure Love & End Suffering.
A small group of people decided to take the running challenge and ran 3.31 miles while others walked 2.2 miles along a beautiful trail. Runners and walkers had asked friends and family members to sponsor them for this special day and in total $6,400 was raised.
All proceeds go to the care of abandoned and abused cats.
