From Vermont to Middletown: Sky Blue Boys Play Concert Tonight

Vermont's Sky Blue Boys, Dan and Willy Lindner, will perform old ballads, parlor songs, heart songs and sacred numbers at the Russell Library courtyard at 7 p.m.

Vermont's Dan and Willy Lindner perform their large repertoire of wonderful old ballads, parlor songs, heart songs and sacred numbers on Thursday, June 7 at 7:00pm, in the Courtyard of Russell Library, 123 Broad Street, Middletown.  Two fellows with a mandolin and a guitar and teamwork built of habit, their voices fuse in the special blend produced by kinship.  The duo has revived the predominant format in country music of the 1930s and '40s, when music was practiced by now-legendary teams of brothers on radio stations and stage shows throughout the countryside.  Heeding their own musical instincts, they have expanded the instrumentation to include a variety of acoustic instruments and added newer songs, including some of their own compositions.  If the weather is uncooperative, the concert will be held in the Library's Hubbard Room.  Learn more about the Sky Blue Boys at http://www.skyblueboys.com/.
