Camp Ingersoll Gets Camplified by Teen Vocal Sensations [MUSIC VIDEOS]

Friday was easily the most awesome day of the summer of 2012 for a couple hundred tweens, teens and camp counselors at the — as a half-dozen up-and-coming, real-life vocal stars jetted into Portland for a full day of rocking Camplified activities.

Campers ages 6-14 enjoyed an age-appropriate — and more importantly, positive-messaged — rock concert with headliner, Texas vocalist Payton Rae, tween Karlee Roberts, who takes an anti-bullying stance with her spectacled, hair-braided, "good girl" persona; singer-songwriter Rebecca McGown, who uses real-life experiences in her music; and New York-based prog-rock trio Kaymus.

Rae, part of a new wave of performers who are taking their music directly to the fans, is a seventh-generation Texan (hailing from just outside Houston) has harnessed the exponential promotional power of the Internet to become a bona fide YouTube sensation, amassing an impressive domestic and international audience for her fresh-faced blend of pure country music and genuine Texas charm.

Roberts professional career began as a print model. In these early years, Karlee busily worked for Good Housekeeping, The New York Times, Scholastic, Lillian Vernon, Target, JC Penney, Bloomingdales, Nick Junior, K-Mart, Toys R 'Us, Nestle Toll House, Simplicity Patterns, The Children's Place, GAP, Ralph Lauren and many more.

McGown aspires daily to live up to her dream of being an inspiration to America's youth through music. From an early age, Rebecca loved, breathed and lived her passion and it was very apparent to anyone who knew her, she was going to be a star. This realization was not evident to her, however; until she took center stage for her solo in her High School musical, West Side Story. "I have never felt more alive" Rebecca states "When I was on stage, all that mattered was the music and the emotion that song portrayed."

Kaymus recently completed The Break Contest for BAMBOOZLE 2012. Dante, Evan and David met while in music school playing gigs and studying music. Despite their young age, 16, their natural sound emerged from countless hours in the studio and have been compared to GlasJaw and Rage Against The Machine by the Promoters of Bamboozle's The BREAK CONTEST.

With Dante writing lyrics and David and Evan creating the melodies, KAYMUS's unique sound emerged from the heart and soul of this generation's newest voice. The newest member to join KAYMUS is drummer Sam Gonnella who comes to the band with his own hard driving sound.

The 2012 CAMPLIFIED TOUR is in its 11th season as it sets to rock more than 30,000 kids in 38 summer camps across the United States by creating a unique and exclusive one-day music festival environment at each stop.
