You Can Communicate With Your Pet: Here's How
Your pets absorb everything you put forth. Make it Paw-sitive!
You can communicate with your animals
We can learn alot from our pets, but what might really surprise you is how many different ways they’ve shown me that they are open to deepening their connection and communication with their humans! Most assume that animal communicators must have the BEST relationships with their pets since they can “hear” every little thing their pets want them to know, but this isn’t always the case. As you'll see by the few suggestions here, you don't have to be psychic to have a superior connection with your pet, you just have to be willing to try out some new things.
See the Right Picture
Our pets connect simply and clearly through images, all the time, every day in every way. To deepen the relationship with your pet, it’s important to work with this idea instead of against it as most people do. Have you ever told a dog to get off the sofa by yelling "Get off the sofa!"? What are you picturing in your head when you say this? You’re seeing the dog on the sofa, of course, which is the opposite of what you want to have occur.
It's important that you align the images you're holding in your head with what you are speaking. So be sure the image you are sending your pet matches the words you are communicating. See him standing on the floor instead and you’ll find that the two of you are much more in sync. Giving the animal the exact action you want him to perform in words and in visuals will help you achieve the desired result.
Pets Absorb Your Energy

Our pets can absorb and feel our energy. If you're looking for your pets to be very calm and serene, managing your energy is really the best way to achieve this. Our pets are incredibly sensitive to energy — much more sensitive than humans are. Have you ever met a new person and knowing at that very moment that you don’t like that person?
This is based on your human ability to read the energy that a person holds. Animals also have this ability as well and over time have trained their senses to detect even the smallest emotional or energetic shift in a person. Knowing this, it becomes very important that your energy communicate to your pet what you want it to.

If you are feeling upset or anxious, and you sit down to pet your dog, your dog may translate your anxiety as being about him (which is both inaccurate and undesirable) and may in fact begin feeling anxious or upset himself. For the best connection, be sure you are calm, clear and grounded before hanging out with your pet.
If you're having a difficult time with this, take a break and go calm or clear yourself — perhaps even a walk outside will help you get your emotions in check. Remember, you can't hide your emotions from your pet (they will sense any negative energy!) so if you're upset, they’re going to know it. Just take a few minutes to ground yourself and you’ll benefit yourself and your pet as well.
Keep Your Living Space Clear
Good or Bad energy can linger in an environment for days, weeks or even years. Have you ever walked into a room and suddenly felt sad or angry? Places and space can hold on to a negative energy. Animals are particularly sensitive to this. Their survival has depended on their ability to detect even the smallest shifts in their environment.
People, however, don’t often clue into these types of energies. Many people release their deep held emotions in their homes. They feel frustration in their office, sadness in their bedroom, loneliness in their living room… When a negative energy is in a room, it's much easier to feel that emotion that energy is linked to.
For example, if your mother-in-law just visited and she made everybody in the house anxious, the house will maintain that anxiety energy. Now, bring your pet into that room and she is going to feel that anxiety herself. How well do you think you'll be able to connect and hang out with your pet if the energy all around you is that of anxiety?
A very simple solution to this is to smudge your house with sage. Call upon an energy worker and healer to come perform a home cleansing and or blessing. They will light the end of the sage stick allowing it to smolder, and walk around your home allowing the smoke from the stick to fill each and every crevice in your house, clearing out any lingering negative energy. Through prayer and intent, the energy in your environment will become clean and clear, it allows for the connection between you and your pet to be relaxed, deeper, more satisfying, and often more fun!
No Pity Parties
Animals are also very sensitive to what people think about them. They know when you feel happy for them, sad, anxious about them, and they especially know when you feel bad for them. Ever see that raised eyebrow oas they look at you? They are picking up on what your sending. Many humans feel terribly for their aging pets. And, when people feel badly about something they often make decisions that aren't necessarily for the greatest and highest good of everyone involved. They don't want people to feel badly for them. They want people to be strong, clear, proactive and fun — even when things are tough, even when they are feeling sick. Take time to hang out with your pet in a positive, happy mood and to create new experiences with your pet.
Take some time and try these methods for yourself — people learn best through hands-on experience. If you want to take your connection even further, consider learning animal communication as well — but don't think that you're up the creek without a paddle because you don't know animal communication yet. Animals want nothing more than to have a wonderful, secure, safe relationship with their humans, and any effort that you make to communicate better with them will be received gratefully and lovingly.
