Wesleyan Men's Basketball Team in Maine for Colby, Bowdoin Games

This weekend, the Cardinals are far from their Middletown, Connecticut, home base hoping for two wins in the NCAA Division III New England Small College Athletic Conference. See it live streamed.

Friday's NCAA Division III New England Small College Athletic Conference sees the Wesleyan University Men's Basketball team far from Middletown, Connecticut, headed to the Pine Tree State to face off against Colby College and Bowdoin in Brunswick.

Wesleyan Sophomore Rashid Epps (whose hometown is Harlem, N.Y.) averaged a double-double (12.3 pts., 11.7 reb.) during a 1-2 week with a pair of double-doubles, while shooting 76.5 percent from the field. The Cardinals are in the midst of a 6-5 season.

He was named to Springfield’s Naismith Classic All-Tournament Team. It was the third time in three tournaments this year that Epps has been all-tournament with one MVP honor.

With his double-doubles against Curry and Bridgewater State, Epps had eight double-doubles over the opening ten games, the first Cardinal to accomplish the feat since First Team All-NESCAC Leo Jones did it during the 2000-01 season.

Colby's Mules are well-matched against the Cardinals with a 6-4 overall for tonight's away game in Waterville, Maine, at Wadsworth Gymnasium at 8 p.m. The game will be live streamed here.

The Bowdoin Polar Bears, who have won all 10 of their games this year, will face off against Wesleyan's Cards Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium at 4 p.m. in Brunswick, Maine. The game will be live streamed here.
