Middletown's Andre Drummond Announces He'll Spend Year at Wilbraham & Monson

In 2012-13, the 6-foot-11-inch power forward will choose between entering college or declaring his eligibility for the NBA draft.

One of the top-rated high school basketball players, 6-foot-11-inch 18-year-old Andre Drummond of Middletown, has announced he will wait a year before deciding to enter college or become eligible for the NBA draft, according to the Journal Inquirer.

On Wednesday, Drummond told reporters he will spend a post-graduate year at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Mass., in 2011-12. Word is the University of Connecticut is very interested in the power forward/center who has spent the last two years at St. Thomas More school in Oakdale.
