Rain or Shine: Free Daffodils, Music, Theatre at Mansion

The and the Long Hill Estate Authority will host the annual Daffodil Day on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Wadsworth Mansion. This family event will be held rain or shine, and there is no charge for admission.

In addition to the blooming daffodils, guests can take part in numerous activities to celebrate spring.

  • Guided tours of the mansion will be running throughout the afternoon.
  • You can explore the critters in the vernal pool outside and learn about letterboxing (a type of outdoor scavenger hunt) with guide Lucy Meigs of Everyone Outside (www.EveryoneOutside.org) between 2 and 4 p.m.
  • Between 1:30 and 3 p.m., roving musician Michael Pestel will be playing the flute, penny whistle and bird whistles dressed in medieval garb and accompanied by juggler Xaq Zukas.
