Get Your Tickets! Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner Coming up

These are the 13 outstanding sportsmen and women who will be inducted at the Middletown event on Jan. 30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell.

Tickets for the 2014 Middletown Sports Hall of Fame Induction dinner are on sale now, according to Hall of Fame President Thomas J. Serra. 

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased through the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce on Main St. in Middletown. The contact is Johanna Bond and all information may be found at the Hall's website, www.middlowncthalloffame.com

The dinner will be Jan. 30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Cromwell.


The inductees of the Class of 2014 are Charles Gill (Middletown  High School, Trinity College, football and track); Dario Highsmith (Middletown High School, University of Rhode Island, football, basketball, baseball, Legion baseball); Theodore Isaacson (Middletown High School football, baseball); Frederica Jones (Woodrow Wilson High School, UConn, cross-country, track). 

Also, Karina Lago (Middletown High School, Brown University, cross-country, track, softball, posthumously awarded); Eric Larson (Middletown High School, University of New Haven, track, cross-country, swimming); Paul Laudano (Middletown High School, Boston University, football, wrestling); Edward Mann (Xavier High School, football, baseball, Legion baseball). Also, Joseph McCabe (Xavier High School, Trinity College, football and baseball, Legion baseball); Robert Peterson (Youth baseball administrator, high school/Legion umpire); Carmine Schiro (Xavier High School, Ricker College, baseball, Legion baseball); Kyle Skene (Middletown High School, Central Connecticut State University, football, basketball, baseball) and Neal Skene (Middletown High School, UConn, football, basketball, baseball). 

Teams to be inducted are the 1948 Middletown Little League team and the 1982 Woodrow Wilson girls track team.
