Roth: Wesleyan Will Offer Graduation in Three Years

In a guest spot on the Washington Post, Wesleyan University President Michael Roth said he earned a three-year degree in 1978 and doing so at the Middletown college would save students more than $50,000.

Beginning this fall, will allow students who complete a special program to earn their undergraduate degree in three years, according to a blog post on the Washington Post by President Michael Roth.

The private liberal arts school is launching a program that will help students save money by taking the three-year route, one Roth took when he graduated from the school in 1978, according to a story by NBC Connecticut.

NBC reported that university spokesman David Pesci said Thursday students would shave more than $50,000 off the cost of an undergraduate degree by completing their studies a year earlier.
