National Latin Exam Awards 17 Mercy Girls
Students were given 40 multiple-choice questions on subjects include grammar, comprehension, mythology, life, history, derivatives, and short passages in Latin.
Seventeen students have received awards on the 2012 Latin Exam, after 35 Latin students participated.
Mercy students were joined by more than 148,000 students from all 50 states and 13 foreign countries including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe.
Cherie Marceau, Latin Instructor, was pleased. “I am very proud that many of our students received an award. It is a reflection of their hard work and perseverance. I congratulate the awards winners and all students for participating in the exam.”
