Forbes Ranks Wesleyan No. 39 on List of America's Top Colleges

But, according to the list, the revered Middletown university also ranks sixth in terms of cost.

Forbes magazine has placed Wesleyan University at No. 39 on the list the top colleges in America.

In a profile of the university, Forbes also puts Wesleyan at No. 31 for private colleges and No. 22 out of best colleges in the Northeast. It also ranks the university A+ in its financial grade.

But, in terms of costs, Wesleyan comes out at No. 6 on the list, charging $61,167 in annual tuition. Sarah Lawrence College in New York ranked first in cost (and 131 overall) with $62,636, followed by the University of Chicago, Columbia, NYU and Dartmouth.
