Women in Business Talk

Kelly Smith, chairman of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, announced that the Chamber’s Middlesex Businesswomen’s Alliance will hold an event with Fran Pastore of the Women’s Business Development Council  on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at One MacDonough Place in Middletown.

Fran Pastore is the founder, president and CEO of the WBDC and will discuss how and why she got started in the business 15 years ago and how it has developed into Connecticut’s leader of entrepreneurial training for women.

The WBDC is devoted to helping women seeking economic self‐reliance through small business ownership with entrepreneurial training, personal financial education and professional development and skill building.  Its training and counseling educates, empowers and guides the aspiring, emerging and established entrepreneurs throughout their small business ventures.
