This year's local celebration of the annual worldwide United Nations International Women's Day is Sunday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Wesleyan University.
The Usdan Campus Center (third floor), 45 Wyllys Avenue, Middletown is the host of the event, sponsored by the Greater Middletown branch of the American Association of University Women. All those interested in attending may participate in activities.
Similar International Women's Day events will be taking place throughout the world highlighting recent progress as well as concerns of international women everywhere.

Networking will be the main focus of the gathering which will also include international speakers, discussions, exhibits, clothing, foods and music.
