Crew is a wonderful sport for local youth. It affords them the use of our terrific resource, the Connecticut River.

The sport offers a great opportunity for the rowers to build strong character, healthy bodies and a solid athletic spirit. Participation in crew has a potential to open the doors of some of the finer colleges and universities to our athletes.

Crew is also an expensive sport. A new boat = $30,000. A used boat = $15,000. Oars = $2,000+. In this day and age, a school budget just cannot absorb that kind of expense.

Donations may be sent to: The Middletown High School Crew Team, Middletown High School, 200 LaRose Lane, Middletown, Connecticut, 06457. Attn: Wendy Sheil, Head Coach; with “MHS Booster Club — Crew," in the memo line.
