Board of Ed to Award Six Exemplary Students Chosen Statewide

May's Middletown Board of Education meeting is a busy one.

Six Middletown Public Schools students who were selected from among 400 submissions to receive the 17th annual Connecticut Association of Boards of Education Student Leadership Award will be honored at Tuesday's education board meeting.

The goals review of Superintendent Patricia Charles, who joined the district last August, will also be explained.

Other agenda items of note include: information about a fresh fruits and vegetables grant received by the district, the extended field trip that the Middletown High School Girls Swimming team will take on Sept. 7-8,  and an    Adult Education Program Improvement Projects Grant.
