All-Night Warming Center Open at First Baptist

Seating, heat, snack and hot beverages are offered at 93 Main Street in Middletown.

The city’s seasonal warming center is open for anyone who needs respite from the cold. Although not a shelter, the warming center provides an area for seating as well as snacks and hot beverages.

The center is open daily from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 93 Main Street. On Jan. 16, it will move to Holy Trinity Church, 381 Main St., where it will continue to operate until the cold weather subsides.

The warming center is sponsored by Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness and operated by St. Vincent de Paul. Funding is provided by donations from the City of Middletown, Middlesex Hospital, Seasons Federal Credit Union, St. Pius X Church and Citizens Bank.
