Sen. Murphy to Host Town Hall Meeting in Middletown

The Democratic senator from Connecticut will discuss the federal government shutdown, budget negotiations in Washington, D.C., and answer residents' questions.

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will host a town hall meeting in Middletown to discuss the recent shutdown of the federal government, the state of budget negotiations in Washington, and hear directly from residents about their questions and ideas.

The meeting will take place Tuesday at 7 p.m. in common council chambers of city hall at 245 dekoven Drive.

On Oct. 16, Murphy reacted to the Senate's reopening of the federal government and temporarily increasing the government’s statutory borrowing authority.
