New Board of Education Meets Tonight

The board has changed the location for its meeting to the Common Council chambers in City Hall.

The Board of Education meets at 7 p.m., tonight and one of the top items on the board’s agenda is the election of new officers.  The election of officers comes on the heels of the Nov. 8 election when five Democrats and one Republican were elected or re-elected to the board.

Democrats maintained control of the school board in the election, and reclaimed control of the mayor’s office with the election of Democrat Dan Drew.

The board has changed its location for tonight’s meeting and will meet in the Common Council chambers in City Hall.
