Middletown Common Council Approves 3-Year Contract for City Managers Union

The contract eliminates payouts for unused vacation times.

The Middletown Common Council approved Monday a three-year contract for the city managers’ union, the Hartford Courant reported Tuesday.

The Teamsters Local 671 union, which is made up of 50 employees, agreed to a contract that gives a retroactive 3-percent raise for the current fiscal year, a wage freeze next year and another 3-percent raise in the 2014-15 fiscal year, the Courant reported.

The vote was 8-3.
