Meet Sal Micciulla, Democratic Candidate for Assessment Board

This lifelong resident of Middletown is running for public office this November.

Middletown Patch is beginning a new meet-the-candidates series that allows voters to learn a little bit about the men and women running for public office this November. 

Meet Democrat Salvatore Micciulla, 37, who's running for the Board of Assessment in Middletown.

  • Education (colleges/degrees): University of New Haven, Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, degree date 2000.
  • Work: Aetna, Senior Analyst
  • Why do you want to hold public office in Middletown? As a lifelong resident of Middletown, I would like to give back to the city that has given me so much.  I want to have a voice in shaping its future.  I believe the best days of the city are still yet to come.   
  • What experience do you bring to the table? A member of the Middletown Democratic Town Committee since 2010. Currently an alternate member on the Inland/Wetlands and Watercourses Agency. Politics is my passion, a hard working drive to help those in the most of need.
  • What do you think the town's most pressing issue is? Its future and in making Middletown the best city in the state.
  • What do you love most about Middletown? Its people, its strong working-class community. 
  • What do you like to do for fun? Weightlifting, studying history, and philosophy.
