As Vice Chairman of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, Matt is working to strengthen Connecticut's ethics laws, ensuring public confidence in our state government. As a member of the Energy Committee, Matt helped pass comprehensive reforms last year that are lowering Connecticut's high electricity costs for Middletown residents and expanding support for renewable energy.

Four times, Matt has been named a Connecticut Children's Champion. As a leader on the Education Committee, Matt listened to Middletown parents, teachers and students and this year helped pass legislation to bring millions in additional funding to Middletown schools and close Connecticut's Achievement Gap. Matt prides himself on listening to Middletown residents and business owners and on being active in the community.
