Lt. Gov. to Swear in Middletown Mayor, Elected Board Members

Newly elected common council, treasurer, education board, planning and zoning and assessment appeals board members will take their oath of office Tuesday at Woodrow Wilson Middle School.

The lieutenant governor will issue the oath of office to the mayor as part of the city's swearing-in ceremony for individuals elected to office last week Tuesday at Woodrow Wilson Middle School.

Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman will officially swear in Middletown Mayor Dan Drew to a second term amid the presentation of the nation's colors by Middletown Fire and Police officers.

The grand ceremony will install the following candidates:

Democrats Gerald Daley, Thomas Serra, Grady Faulkner, Carl Chisem, Hope Kasper, James Streeto, Mary Bartolotta, Robert Santangelo, Sandra Russo-Driska, David Bauer, Deb Kleckowski and Sebastian N. Giuliano will be sworn in to the common council. 

Also to take office are: Quentin Phipps, treasurer; Board of Education members Franca Biales, Sheila Daniels, Linda Szynkowicz and Vinnie Loffredo; Sal Micciulla, Aristia Partiss and Jon Pulino, board of assessment appeals; Planning and Zoning commissioners Stephen Devoto, Robert Simpson and Jeremy Clark.
