Gov. Malloy Coming Later to Middletown

Changed date and location for town meeting on state's budget, economy

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is now scheduled to come to Middletown April 12 for a town meeting about Connecticut's economy and the state budget.

The location for the meeting has also been changed to the auditorium of Middletown High School, 200 LaRosa La. The town meeting, scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m., is among 17 the governor is conducting personally around the state. The first was held Feb. 21 in Bridgeport; the town meeting in Middletown will be the last of the series.

A press release from the governor's office says the purpose of the meetings is to "allow the governor to discuss the state’s pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents, while listening to their own thoughts and suggestions."
