Gov. Malloy Is Coming to Middletown

The town meeting in Middletown is one of a series designed to discuss state's economy and budget and hear residents' concerns

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is scheduled to come to Middletown March 16 for a town meeting about Connecticut's economy and the state budget.

The meeting, scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. in the common council chambers of city hall at 245 deKoven Dr., is one of 17 the governor is conducting around the state. The first was held Feb. 21 in Bridgeport; the last will be in Danbury April 6.

A press release from the governor's office says the purpose of the meetings is to "allow the governor to discuss the state’s pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents, while listening to their own thoughts and suggestions."
