Council to Hear Plans $4.85M Senior Center Plans
The Eckersley-Hall Building Committee will ask the Middletown Common Council to approve a referendum question to voters this November to fund the proposed senior/community center in the old St. Sebastian School.
The common council will hear final plans for a proposed $4.85 million senior/community center Thursday evening, and decide whether to send the question to voters in a November referendum.
The Eckersley-Hall Building Committee and architects will make the presentation to the Common Council at a special meeting Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. in council chambers in City Hall, according to The Middletown Press.
Architect Silver/Petrucelli and Associates of Hamden has designed a senior center that would have its main entrance on Durant Terrace, at the former St. Sebastian School, according to the Hartford Courant.
