Woman's Body Found in Middletown

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 30-year-old Hispanic woman, who's body was located in between two buildings on a city property Sunday.

 

Editor's Note: By 3 p.m., there was only one police cruiser left at the scene at the rear of the building where Zen Coffee Roasters and CrossFit Religion are found.

Workers at a Middletown business found a body of a 30-year-old woman in between two buildings Sunday morning.

According to a Middletown police news release, the body of a Hispanic female was found at 6:30 a.m. on the property of 180 Johnson St. in Middletown, which is the location of the Remington Rand Facility.

The death is being called suspicious at this time.

Police said the department was contacted shortly after the body was found and the police investigative services division is on scene. The woman’s identity has not been released as police are still contacting her family, Middletown officers said.

The Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad has also been contacted to assist in the investigation.
