Woman Charged With DUI Drank Alcohol, Took Antidepressants, Narcotics, Valium

Middletown Police Arrests, March 15-17

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

CONSPIRACY TO SELL COCAINE, POSSESSION OF LESS THAN A HALF-OUNCE OF COCAINE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND UNDER 4 OZ OF MARIJUANA — On March 17 at 6:46 p.m., Shawn Spinali, 31, of Springbrook Drive, Middletown, was a back seat passenger in a car traveling on Grand Street operating without a rear brake light. An officer saw two baggies thrown from the car, which later tested positive for drugs. Another baggie of cocaine, a bottle of lactose, razor and hollow blunt were found where the driver was seated. He was given a court date of April 7.

CONSPIRACY TO SELL COCAINE, POSSESSION OF LESS THAN A HALF-OUNCE OF COCAINE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND UNDER 4 OZ OF MARIJUANA — On March 17 at 6:46 p.m., Stariesh C. Cadbral, 29, of Walnut Street, Middletown, was the front passenger in a car traveling on Grand Street operating without a rear brake light. An officer saw two baggies thrown from the car, which later tested positive for drugs. Another baggie of cocaine, a bottle of lactose, razor and hollow blunt were found where the driver was seated. She was given a court date of April 7.

CONSPIRACY TO SELL COCAINE, POSSESSION OF LESS THAN A HALF-OUNCE OF COCAINE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND UNDER 4 OZ OF MARIJUANA, NO STOP LAMPS OR TURN SIGNALS — On March 17 at 6:46 p.m., Michael B. Paladino, 29, of Grand Street, was driving a car traveling on Grand Street operating without a rear brake light. An officer saw two baggies thrown from the car, which later tested positive for drugs. Another baggie of cocaine, a bottle of lactose, razor and hollow blunt were found where the driver was seated. He was given a court date of April 7.

PROBATION VIOLATION, RECKLESS USE OF HIGHWAY BY PEDESTRIAN — On March 17 at 6:21 p.m., Jamar Johnson, 38, of Park Place, Middletown, crossed Liberty Street without using the pedestrian cross signal. He had an active PRAWN warrant out of New Haven. He was given a March 30 court date.

FAILURE TO DRIVE IN PROPER LANE, DUI, FAILURE TO OBEY TRAFFIC SIGNAL — On March 16, Holly E. McGrath, 26, of Main Street, Portland, was observed driving erratically down Main Street in Middletown and over the Portland Bridge into Portland.

DUI, TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS — On March 16 at 6:54 p.m., Barbara A. Andre, 60, of Long Hill Road, Middletown, while driving on Randolph Road, rear ended another car at Coe Avenue. She failed pre-exit tests and a field sobriety test. She later admitted to drinking two glasses of wine, Oxycodone, Diazepam and Effexor. She was given a March 30 court date.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, CREDIT CARD THEFT — On March 15, Joshua Springer, 22, of Old Mill Road, Middletown, was taken into custody on an active warrant. He was given a March 29 court date.

DUI, EVADING RESPONSIBILITY/PROPERTY DAMAGE, DRINKING WHILE DRIVING, UNSAFE BACKING — On March 15 at 9:21 p.m. Matthew Roscetti, 32, of Riverview Avenue, Branford, was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Santangelo Circle. He was given a March 24 court date.
