BUILDING ALARM — On July 2, ADT Security notifed police that an alarm had gone off at the state of Connecticut Social Services at 117 Main Street Extension. The back window had been broken but nothing appeared stolen.

DWI, TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS — On June 25, Chelsea Ann Fremut, 19, of High Street, Middletown, was driving 2002 Subaru when she lost control of the car and hit a tree on Camp Bethel Road in Haddam. Passengers Patrick Finley, 20, of Meriden and Rebecca Berlipsch, 22, of Killingworth went to Middlesex Hospital before police arrived for medical attention. Police smelled alcohol on Fremut's breath, so she was arrested on the above charges.

FAILURE TO GRANT RIGHT OF WAY — On June 27, Theodore Raczka, 23, of Red Yellow Road, Middletown, was riding his bike on Main Street, Middlefield, when a UPS truck driven by Pasquale Natale Jr., 49, of West Haven struck him while exiting the UPS building. Raczka complained of shoulder pain and had a cut on his leg. He was transported to Middlesex Hospital.
