Herbert J. Given, 53, 19 Wilcox Drive, Durham, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault after police responded to a disturbance at his home on Nov. 28. Given was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and was due in Middlesex Superior Court on Nov. 29.
State police are investigating a recovered stolen motor vehicle located in the area of Cream Pot Road in the town of Durham lodged on Dec. 1. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper DeAngelo at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook at 860-399-2100.
A 14-year-old juvenile who attends Rushford Academy on Wallingford Road in Durham has gone missing from the school on Dec. 1. The student is incarcerated at the academy, and as part of his incarceration he is required to stay on the property unless otherwise instructed. He is considered an escapee from custody.
Herbert A. Boone, 41, 90 Route 80, Killingworth, was charged with operating under the influence and speeding after police said he drove 61-63 mph on Middletown Road (Route 66) in Middlefield between Jackson Hill Road and Peters Lane on Nov. 29. The posted speed limit is 40 mph. Police later determined Boone was under the influence, officials said. Boone was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 12.
Kye V. Vestergaard, 27, 115 Basswood Drive, Middletown, was charged with driving under the influence and operating under suspension after police pulled him over on Route 66 in Middlefield near the intersection with Route 147 on Nov. 30. Vestergaard was held on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 12.
Tracy Lee, 37, 12R Gonch Farm Road, Ledyard, was charged with first-degree failure to appear after police said she didn’t show up for court on Jan. 6, 2012, to answer to a charge of third-degree larceny. Lee turned herself in to the Troop F barracks in Westbrook on Nov. 25 and was held on a $3,789 cash bond. Lee is due in New London Superior Court on Dec. 6.
Gilmar Dasilva, 39, 97 High St., Westbrook, was charged with operating under the influence, improper parking and operating a car in violation of a license classification after police took him into custody on Nov. 28 on Route 153 in Westbrook. Dasilva was held on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 10.
Juan E. Rodriguez, 23, 17 Brook St., Central Falls, RI, was charged with a failure to carry registration, not having proper insurance and reckless driving over 85 mph after police pulled him over around Exit 64 on I-95 northbound in Westbrook on Nov. 30. Rodriguez is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 20.
A 21-year-old and 18-year-old were both issued infractions on Dec. 1 for simple trespass after police said they entered the Marquee Cinema Theater at the Westbrook Mall without paying.
The State Police are investigating a possibly larceny of a State of Connecticut Comptroller check that was made out to Middletown Transit District and cashed for a transportation ticket. The investigation started on Nov. 25. Anyone with information is asked to call 860-399-2100.
Maureen Nuzzo, 50, 26 Wilford Road, Branford, was charged with a breach of peace after police said she turned herself in on Nov. 27 stemming from a complaint lodged by her daughter. Nuzzo was released and is due in Middletown Superior Court on Nov. 29.
Bryan C. Gibbons, 34, 162 Westbrook Road, Deep River, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive in the proper lane and operating a car with a suspended license after police said he turned himself in on Nov. 27 stemming from an incident on July 12 on Bushy Hill Road in Essex. Gibbons was held on a $500 bond and is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 4.
Michael Bergeron, 50, 7 Main St., Centerbrook, was charged with evading responsibility and a failure to drive in the established lane after police said he got into a one-car accident on Main Street in Essex on Nov. 29. Bergeron was later released on a $5,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 12.
Michael Whalen, 53, 10 Fife Court, Ivoryton, was charged with a breach of peace after police said responded to a disturbance over a shared driveway on Nov. 29 on his road. Whalen was held on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 11.
Police issued an infraction for possessing less than half an ounce of marijuana to a driver who was pulled over around Exit 5 on Route 9 southbound in Deep River on Nov. 28. They did not identify the person. The case is closed.
Jorge Da Silva, 42, 315 Norland St., Bridgeport, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive in the proper lane and operating a car without a license after police pulled him over on High Street in Clinton after he was observed driving erratically on I-95 on Nov. 28. Da Silva was held on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 5.
Police are investigating a report of a fire that was set on the back deck of a home at 323 Chamberlain Hill in Higganum on Nov. 30. Police said the homeowner put the fire out. It caused minimal damage to a gas grill. The case is under investigation.
Amanda M. Lord, 23, 28 High St., Chester, was charged with operating under the influence and a failure to drive in the proper lane after police pulled her over on Route 9 southbound in Haddam on Nov. 30. Lord was held on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 2.
