A 63-year-old Middletown man is being arraigned today after a routine traffic stop records check revealed he had an outstanding warrant from North Carolina for rape of a child, according to police.
On Sept. 21 at 9:06 p.m., Middletown Police saw Huther Lee Holley, 63, of East Main Street driving an Oldsmobile on South Main Street with a suspended license. When pulled over, the report says, Holley offered his Virginia drivers license and said the car belonged to his cousin.
On Sept. 24 at 10 p.m., police discovered Holley had an extraditable warrant from Windsor, N.C., for rape of a child, the report indicates, and took him into custody at his home.
Holley was charged with fugitive arrest without a warrant, operating a motor vehicle while license and registration are suspended.
