Two Crashes in Two Days, Same Intersection
South Main Street and Highland Avenue is the same location where a Meriden man died over the weekend.
The intersection of Highland Avenue and South Main Street was closed for a while during rush hour today after an accident near the site of a fatal crash this weekend, according to WFSB-TV.
As of 6:30 p.m., the intersection was reopened, and the crash was not considered serious.
Early Sunday morning, Alexander Martinez of Meriden was killed when the car he was a passenger in collided with a pick-up truck on South Main Street near the intersection of Highland Avenue in Middletown.

He was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected from the 2002 Honda Civic about 2:30 a.m., according to police.
