Reports: Body Pulled From Connecticut River in Middletown

Officials have not identified the individual publicly, however there is indication the body has been in the water for a year.

A decomposing body was pulled from Connecticut River in Middletown on Saturday afternoon, according to WFSB.

City police and fire rescue crews responded to a 911 call at 3 p.m. on River road near Route 9, after two fishermen discovered a body, according to WTNH.

Police declined to release the individual's name, citing an ongoing investigation, according to the Hartford Courant. However, WFSB is reporting the body was found near the Arrigoni Bridge and there are indications it has been in the river since 2012.
