Report: State Police Investigate Bomb Threat at Connecticut Valley Hospital

State police last week investigated a telephone threat at state's forensic, general psychiatric and addictions inpatient treatment facility in Middletown.

State police last week investigated a bomb threat at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown which turned out to be a false alarm.

On May 13 at 6:38 p.m., Connecticut State Police Troop F in Westbrook investigated a bomb threat called in by an unknown person, targeting a building on Silver Street on the campus of Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, according to the report. 

The state police emergency services unit searched the inside of the building and found nothing suspicious, according to the report. Within minutes, the building was cleared and deemed safe and all staff returned to work.

The case is open and anyone with information is urged to call Trooper Larry Morello at (800) 256-5761 or (860) 399-2100.
