Police: Unauthorized Cars Parked at Metro Square Will be Towed
Middletown Police say that since Jan. 1, 240 vehicles have been impounded in this private lot for customers who frequent the movie theater and other businesses only.
Middletown Police are warning citizens that if they park in the Metro Square lot and patronize a business other than those in the plaza, they risk having their car towed and impounded.
Since Jan. 1, 240 vehicles have been towed by police in the Metro Square parking lot.
The plaza, at 200 Main Street in Middletown, provides commercial space for many businesses in the city with ample parking. Metro Square takes up a block of the city from Main Street to DeKoven Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. to Dingwall Drives.

Parking at this location is specifically for customers and employees of the businesses located within Metro Square, according to a press release. Middletown Police have taken several complaints from people who patronize other businesses while parking in the Metro Square parking lot and then return to the lot to find their vehicles towed.
