Police: Two Guns Stolen From Killingworth Home During Burglary

State police are investigating the theft of two handguns from a residence on Route 80 last month.

State police are investigating a burglary at a Killingworth home earlier this week which involved the theft of two handguns.

The guns — both Smith and Wesson brands — were stolen in late December from the home on Route 80, police say. The guns were reported missing on Monday.

According to police, the homeowner returned from being away for about a week and discovered that someone had broken into his home by forcing open a rear kitchen door.

The guns were taken from a second floor bedroom closet, police say.

The burglar also stole a small can of rare coins but the home was otherwise left undisturbed, a report says.

State police canvassed the neighborhood for information about the burglary or a suspect but were unsuccessful.

I'm sorry if I sound like a pest, but what is a "second floor bedroom close"?

Sounds like someone knew exactly what was in that house!

That seems to be the case with most burglaries in the area.

Another bad gun owner that did not see the need to purchuse a proper safe and secure it to the studs of the house, they must have had better ideas for that money. The law works as long as stupid does not interfere.
