Police: Siblings' Diaper Bag Quarrel, Couple's Beer Battle Result in Arrests

Middletown Police reports through April 20.

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On April 20, Tyson Harris, 40, of Newington Avenue, New Britain, was in a physical fight with his sister over a diaper bag. The victim said Harris hit her and pulled her hair. He was given an April 21 court date.

SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On April 21, Margaret F. Trifoglio, 25, of High Street turned herself in on an outstanding warrant from April 28, 2010. She was given an April 29 court date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On April 20, Jack Gudrian, 53, of Grand Street was at the scene of a physical domestic call. The victim, who had blood on the back of her head, said Gudrian pushed her down after fighting with her husband over ownership of a beer in the refrigerator. He admitted pushing her. He was given an April 21 court date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On April 20, Karen Gudrian, 54, of Grand Street was at the scene of a physical domestic call with blood on the back of her head. She said her husband pushed her down after fighting over ownership of a beer in the refrigerator. She was given an April 21 court date.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, WITH INTENT TO SELL, WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF DAY CARE, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On April 20, Justin Ryals, 26, of Spring Street was driving on Broad Street without a front plate. The officer smelled marijuana inside the car. A K-9 identified the steering wheel area and police found two bags of marijuana inside, as well as one bag in the fuel door, totaling 25.5 grams. Narcotics packaging was found in the trunk.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On April 20, Stacie Harris, 25, of Inverness Lane, was arrested after a fight with her brother, who said she hit him in the neck after arguing over the return of a diaper bag. She told police she needed medical help and was brought to Middlesex Hospital. While there she said, “I don’t know why I’m here, I’m not hurt.” She was given an April 21 court date.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE, OPERATING UNREGISTERED MOTOR VEHICLE, AND WITHOUT INSURANCE, RIGHT OF WAY AT DRIVEWAY — On April 18, Julio C. Ocasio-Arce, 46, of Davenport Street, Bridgeport, was exiting the Sunoco driveway on Washington Street and pulled out in the path of an oncoming car, nearly causing a crash. He was given an April 25 court date.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, POSSESSION DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On Aril 14, Alexander Rivera, 31, of Pearl Street was at the scene of an ongoing narcotic complaint. Officer smelled marijuana coming from the apartment. He admitted to having some weed, and officers found a metal grinder, a cellophane bag with marijuana inside, a scale, “apple” bags used to package narcotics and a can with a false compartment. He was given an April 28 court date.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE — On April 12, Ricardo Ramirez-Hernandez, 49, of Mount Pleasant Street, Meriden, was driving a car involved in an accident. He was given an April 26 court date.
