Connecticut State Police are searching for a pair of suspects who broke into a Sunoco gas station in Haddam last week.

Police said round 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 8, the suspects picked the lock at the front 1016 Route 81 gas station, located in the Higganum section of town, and got inside the building.

They stole cash, multiple cartons of cigarettes and other tobacco products, and carried out the stolen merchandise in a large blue plastic tote, police said.

The suspects are described as two black males, both wearing dark pants and black leather jackets and black hoods. One suspect was wearing a pair of black-colored Nike sneakers with a white colored "swoosh" Nike symbol on the sides.

They were driving a two-door sedan, possibly tan or gray.
